NON-SPECIFIC ACID WITH PROTOTYPE MAKE NOISE QMMG

Only the Doepfer monster case was used, everything is just blinking idly, in attempt to distract you.

Doepfer A-155 randomly sequencing a Livewire AFG sine,
Doepfer A-147 square wave clocking Doepfer A-149-1/2, Doepfer A-149-2 random gates triggering QMMG CV triggers and CV resonance in no particular order, QMMG master out lightly treated with Doepfer A-199 spring rev & Doepfer A-188-1Y (256) (CV2 modded with A-149-1).

Actually the patch took less time to set up than it did to write this explanation.

Mind you, this is a prototype QMMG, and I'm only using 2 of the 4 modes (and of those 2 modes used I didn't properly demonstrate their respective ranges, nor did I intend to) this does not properly demonstrate all of the module's enormous potential, just a little jam. By Richard Devine & Josh Kay.

JOSH KAY WORKSPACE ON TRASH AUDIO

An interview with Trash Audio about my workspace. From the article:
"What is your favorite piece of hardware?
The personal computer is my favorite piece of hardware, it's my favorite because it can be anything. I would say the Doepfer/Euro-rack modular but I'm secretly fond of another younger and sexier model. Also, the Lavry DA10 has changed my life and no studio is complete without a fuzzy logic rice cooker."

MicroTrack Tales From the Road

M-Audio just posted an article on us this month about the new Microtrack II hand held digital recorder.

"I recently went on a field recording trip to Petty Johns Cave in northwest Georgia. The cave is located on the east side of Pigeon Mountain in the Appalachian Plateau. It has small rivers and waterfalls deep at the bottom of the cave, which is about four hours below ground level. I used the MicroTrack II to capture the unusual ambient sound of water flowing through strange cuts in the rocks. All the recordings ended up getting included in my new Sony effects library. The MicroTrack held up very well even in the most challenging conditions."
